If you’re motivated to complete a degree on your own schedule, and you want the freedom to customize it with curriculum from alternative resources, the Open College at Purdue Global offers you two affordable, flexible choices:

Associate of Science in Professional Studies

The Associate of Science in Professional Studies (ASPr) is a smart choice to begin your college degree journey. To enroll, you must have completed at least one college course.

The program consists of 90 quarter credit hours, including the standard general education requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded an Associate of Science degree from Purdue Global.

Graduates of the ASPr are prepared to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies, or enroll in an online bachelor’s degree program at Purdue Global.

Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies

The Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (BSPr) is an excellent choice if you have transfer credits, open course credit, or experiential learning credit (including military).

The BSPr program consists of 180 quarter credit hours, including the standard general education requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue Global.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies at the Open College may enroll in an online master’s degree program at Purdue Global.

Create an Individual Learning Plan

When you begin your program, you work with a faculty advisor to develop an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP). Together, you choose focus area(s) that align with your professional and personal goals, as well as your planned course of study.

The ILP maps out the coursework to be completed as part of the degree plan, including any previously earned credit and Purdue Global general education requirements, as well as a program outcome that matches your career goals. Throughout the course of your degree, you continue working with your faculty advisor to determine your status and revise your ILP.

Build Your Own Degree Path

Complete MOOCs and access other learning resources from within and outside Purdue Global.
Earn credit toward your degree via course assessments, an experiential learning portfolio you develop through the Open College, transfer credits from a regionally or nationally accredited institutions, or eligible military training.*
To graduate, successfully complete a capstone class with a portfolio project.

Learn With Flexibility and Focus

Choose electives alongside required general education coursework.
Customize your degree with prior credits, applied in a flexible fashion.
